When trying to update a map/creating a new one,it starts to render random horizontal lines over the entire map.

i have the same issue and if you link a banner to it the it shows only the half depend were you look so if you look from the left you may see only the first 2 letters then if you look from the right you me see the last 2 leters depend how mutch leter you have namend the banner affected since java version 20w17a

I'd like to note that this only happens in worlds that were upgraded from older versions. If you create a world on the snapshot then it works but if you bring an old world and create a map it does not work and makes these lines. Hopefully, this can be fixed quickly instead of part of a big patch again this really sucks.
