The Bug
When right clicking a Piglin with a Gold Ingot the Oh Shiny advancement doesn't activate.

Replicate

  • Right click a Piglin with a Gold Ingot

  • Notice that it doesn't give Oh Shiny advancement

  • Through the Gold Ingot

  • Notice it does unlock advancement

The Piglin has to be angry at you first I found. You have to distract them with gold. The advancement in-game states: Distract Piglins with gold.

I did this in creative mode.

Just tested it in survival and still didn't work with right click (I wasn't wearing any gold)

Drop it instead.

Did you remove the gold armor you are wearing?
 

I wasn't wearing anything gold

If you throw it, it unlocks it is only when right clicking.

Can confirm. The advancement cannot be made if right-clicking on a piglin.

Tried this achievement by punching a piglin then dropping the gold which didn't trigger the achievement.... Didn't know that you need to remove the gold armor to aggro the piglins that way...
