I created a new survival world a couple of days ago and today I decided to beat the ender dragon. I defeated it while he was at the portal and I used a diamond sword with looting 2. (idk if this changes anything i just wanted to be specific.) After he died I looked all over the main end island but I could not find an end gateway to get to the outer islands anywhere.
