Minecraft Server Bluescreen

Playing single player for a few hours, or playing Minecraft while hosting a server on the same computer causes the computer to bluescreen with the following error:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (d1)

This is a hardware and/or driver fail, not Minecraft. Minecraft only triggers it because of the heavy load it does for some setups.
Could also happen because your laptop is overheating (for example to much dust inside). Had that bluescreen too several times because my cpufan wasnt sitting correctly on my cpu and it overheated (the fun i had till i realized that... _). But dont open the laptop yourself i you dont know what youre doing, let someone with experience look into it.

Yea, my laptop does tend to run on the hot side, sometimes (ESPECIALLY when playing Minecraft with a server) it can run up to over 215 degrees Fahrenheit. I got the laptop used, and the previous owner had drilled holes near the GPU (The part that overheats the most) to try and cool it. Looks like I won't be running a server anymore then...

Dude, that is the hardwired automatic safety shutdown point (100° Celsius) where most cpus throw data out of the window because they notice theyre getting too hot. Add another 50-100 degree and your cpu is toast. No wonder youre getting bluescreens.
