Red sand and pistons don't go along together.

Red sand can cause ghost blocks appearing when you push the piston. This will look like duplication, though it is not. Even though it takes the same amount of time in survival Minecraft to mine the rail like it should be, it drops absolutely nothing, as the rail already popped off. Just check the picture.
