Minecraft Java Realms - io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection refused

trying to play on realms and neither me nor friends can access the realm because of this, I've tried closing and reopening the realm however it won't let me, I can't even join other realms. So i'm assuming this is on Mojang's end
