In my hardcore survival world, I used a diamond axe on a bed, and got two beds instead of one. In the video capture, my axe does not have any Fortune enchantments on it, so getting extra items would not make sense. I believe Fortune does not permit any extra beds anyway. As you can see, getting duplicate beds doesn't occur each time, but it is rather confusing every time that it does occur.
