I go to explore my surroundings a little away from my home that I built and as I get out a few hundred blocks away the entire edge of the world is gone. I make my way back to my built structure and it too is half gone. I even fell from the edge and it kept making me fall. I had to shut down my program and restart it, luckily the auto save saved me from having to try to figure out how to turn it to creative even though cheats are not enabled.

Your game, launcher or server is modified.
If you can reproduce the issue in a vanilla environment, please recreate the issue.
Any non-standard client/server/launcher build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the creator of the plugin or resource pack.
If you have problems on large servers, such as The Hive and Hypixel, please contact them first as they run modified server software.
