To elaberate I made an aquariam type of structure, i made it so that there was 1 layer of water at the top placed atop dirt which I then removed. When I place a sea pickle it doesn't work

Please provide a screenshot or video with the debug screen enabled (hit the F3 key) demonstrating the issue.
Can you supply an image of what you are trying to do? I have no issues placing sea pickles on top of solid blocks in water (source or flowing)
