I've had this twice, now: When I am riding a horse and run over crops growing on tilled dirt, if I jump in the air and cause the dirt to revert back to basic dirt, my character will appear to no longer be riding my horse. I'm able to move around and appear to interact with the world.
I can attach a lead to my horse, but if I try to move away, the horse stays stationary and the lead stretches out longer than it should be able to.
I'm on a Realm, and other people on the realm see me as still riding the horse, but I don't move around (the horse and player model can turn, but they stay on the broken dirt block)
If I press the shift key, I actually dismount from my horse for real, and am then able to properly interact with and re-mount my horse like normal.

Ok, from more testing I realized 3 things
This doesn't work if there are any untilled dirt blocks next to the block you're jumping or the one being turned to dirt.
You have to be jumping on the middle of a 3x3 block of tilled land, if there is anything in the corners etc. It won't work.
Re-logging makes you appear on the horse again.
A 3x3 area where you jump in the middle would make you desync every time you try it. Any full blocks near the area and you can't replicate the bug. Here's an attachment to explain it better:

I'm assuming that the devs forgot to send a packet for actually getting off the horse but show it to the player or something like that (I had it happen in singleplayer too, and singleplayer uses an integrated server so)

watered farmland will also do this

This is invalid because riding on a horse does not turn it to dirt. You had a texture pack.

The report was already confirmed (by a staff), plus there are multiple duplicates

@Aiden I beg you to not be so quick in your ruling. What kind of texture pack changes the model for the dirt block, making it lower, and having the farmland texture, let the user be able to put vegetation on it, and then have it go dry if there isn't a water source nearby? I'd like to hear of it, please.
On a more serious note, you can clearly see that the block is lower than the normal dirt in the attached picture.

This glitch also seems to apply to Minecarts, boats and other mountable things.
It also is not exclusive to Dirt /farmland, I made a recording of the glitch.

Part of it is when you are still on it, other times you can not mount it at all.
Hope it will get a quick patch once they find out what it causing it.

I have begun having this issue on 1.16.4. Has anyone found a solution or do we just have to wait for it to be fixed?
Can confirm in 20w51a.

Affects 1.16.5
Can confirm in 21w03a.
My friend on the realm just had the same thing happen to her, so it's not just something on my computer.
