100% Drop rate is broken, not all blocks will drop when there are explosions. Drops act the same as they do in versions 1.8x-1.13.2. Please fix this in a 1.16.2 patch, that would be amazing! If not, please try to fix in in 1.17x.

Ah that fixed it, thanks! But, I was thinking about the fact that some people use vanilla, and don't know how to use /gamerule and such.

By default, doTileDrops is set to true. You might've changed up some of the gamerules by accident (or not realizing what it would do) when creating the world, and that might've caused the error.

What is your gamerule doTileDrops set to? If you don't know how to check this, do /gamerule doTileDrops. If it is set to false, run the command /gamerule doTileDrops true and then blocks should drop themselves.
