When a player dies it doesnt respawn him

So, me and my friend were playing on xbox splitcreen, when I fell down a deep hole I had dug for my BEACON before, so I fell down and died, it just said generating world. So I took his controller and went down there and it looked really awkward. So my stuff was there. I really did not know what happened, so I decided to report it. This just happened yesterday. For some reason Kira is not letting me out the photo, please help me on this matter so you can see the pic. How I resolved it was I quit the game and went back, and it worked
