My brother and I wanted to play together in one of my own worlds after we had acquired fiber. Before it was possible to open to LAN and Play together without any problems, but after we got fiber it stopped working.
When I open to LAN, the world should show up on multiplayer and if it does not, you can go to direct connection and write their IPv4 address and then write the LAN address, when you are connected to the same internet.
But what happens is that the world does not appear on multiplayer or can be directly connected.
Connect to a single player world and open to LAN
The other person goes into multiplayer
The world does not show up and it is not possible to directly connect, with IPv4 address

Did you try it using a cross over cable. You should learn more about LAN connection and how it works. The problem you discribe makes sense to me.

Yes we have a cross over cable and I also tried wireless internet, but nothing works. It feels like I have tried everything that I can come up with and I have searched on the internet about LAN and internet connection. I gave up after a while, but then I thought that I tried to reach out to the support.

When I try to connect to a LAN world the text: io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information: shows up.
The computers are connected to the same internet and they are right next to each other. I can´t understand what's wrong, because everything worked at first, but when we switched to fiber it stopped working
