By pushing a transparent block like a glass block against the world border, then pusing another block in it, you can create a ghostblock. This works for any worldborder size. By reloading the world the visual appearence goes away, but the collision is still there, the blocks will only return to normal once the world border is made bigger.
Works on multiplayer and singleplayer.

This is not a report about blocks beeing pushed through, rather about transparent blocks becoming ghost blocks...
MC-82010 does describe the issue with ghost blocks.

They are very simmilar, only our ghost still have collision, even after reloading the world?
Only the render disappears, not the collision. I think it can be tracked there.
