Nether Portal doesn't light

On my survival world the nether is broken. When using flint and steel to activate nether portal it lights a fire and then doesn't activate the portal.

What I expected to happen was...:
The nether portal to work

What actually happened was...:
It just lit the obsidian on fire

Steps to Reproduce:
1. No known way. This has only affected one of my worlds. The world was created in survival and when switched to creative the problem continued
2. world seed this is affecting: -1821723879
3. world type set as: old

Your game is modified. You need to try the same without any mods.

  1. You seem to be using a non-vanilla client. Try replicating the bug with a vanilla client.

That's not Java Edition. That's "Bedrock Codebase", aka MCPE. If it were the original Minecraft game ("Minecraft Java Edition") the bottom of the hotbar would line up with the bottom of the window. Also there is no "Old" worldtype in Java Edition, it's specific to the various ports of the game (Bedrock and Legacy Console Edition).

Furthermore, Nether portals don't work in Bedrock Old worlds.

After reading some comments I went back to double check what I had originally posted and found that my version of Minecraft is actually not Java Edition and to the person who said I couldn't have 'old' world types I have provided picture proof that the world is indeed in 'old' format. I am just now getting back into Minecraft so sorry for any confusion. Theres been quite a few changes since 2013

That would type seems to be a feature of your client. It is not present in Vanilla Minecraft. Custom clients are not supported. If you can reproduce this bug using the vanilla client, feel free to create another report.
