press and hold q while over obsidian(1) in hot bar and while inventory is open. sometimes it drops 2 instead of 1. try a couple of times(sometimes works sometimes doesn't)

some times it doesn't drop but says it does and/or give me something else such as trip hooks the 1 next to obsidian means 1 obsidian
