End Obsidian Platform Doesn't Spawn

Upon entering the end, where an obsidian platform is expected is nothing but empty air. This caused me to fall into the void and lose all of my items. Extremely frustrating, as I have never seen this happen before. It seems as though the platform simply didn't spawn.

Sure, I'm running OptiFine. But it's a pure vanilla server.

No the server is Spigot which isn't vanilla. If you can reproduce this in pure vanilla then you can create a new report.
