Your Java is out of date. Please update your Java to the latest version: http://www.java.com/en/download/ . Keep in mind that when using a 32-bit browser on a 64-bit OS the automatic version detection will only show the 32-bit version of Java, the 64-bit version needs to be downloaded manually: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp .

Please report if the issue persists with the latest Java version.

Try the new launcher from https://mojang.com/2013/06/minecraft-1-6-pre-release/ . It let's you play also the current release version 1.5.2.

No, the crash report tells us:

Java Version: 1.6.0_27, Sun Microsystems Inc.

Current version is 1.7 Update 25

BTW: Check the time of your PC; you have already July 2nd 2013

Sorry, still the same problem. I can't get past the Mojang screen at login.

I downloaded the updated 64 bit Java , then the 32 bit Java, laptop automatically asked if I wanted to replace Java already on with new Java , so I said yes.

I then tried to launch the Minecraft 1.6 as you advise, by this crashed too.

Please help.

Is the other issue which you quote resolved with a fix, which I can also use ?
