For some reason, the chat isn't showing up for me. I cannot see my own messages and I am also unable to see other messages as well. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling, I tried rebooting my pc, I tried fixing it in the chat settings, watched tutorials and none worked. I thought it was Hypixel being laggy but I tried going into different servers and hopped into a single payer world, and it still doesn't show. (the version I am using is 1.8.9, I just didn't have an option to change it to 1.8.9.)

This issue is invalid, your game is outdated, the bug tracker only accepts issues for 1.16.3 and the latest snapshot. recreate this issue if this occurs in 1.16.3.
Check if you haven't hidden the chat in options
