everything freezes and stops after about 15 seconds of loading my world, most likely low tick speed lag

I was in my world filling in craters using structure blocks. When I was filling in holes caused by explosions, it seemed everything froze. Entitys wouldn't move or make sound, redstone would stop working, GUIs wouldn't open, commands and chat won't work, items wouldn't drop, mobs won't spawn when using a spawn egg, and anything entity related wouldn't work. It seemed like time stopped completely. whenever I would leave the world after it froze, it would not save anything that happened. I noticed it only affected one area of the world and not the other, and this bug doesn't affect other worlds. I have a theory that the world got corrupted somehow. when I move away from that broken area in the world after it froze, command block GUIs would open, but all the buttons are unclickable except for the "cancel" button. There was a redstone clock connected to a note block, and when I broke it after loading the world, the game crashed a few seconds after I did that. For some reason, I thought the clock was causing this bug. the game has crashed a few times when I was trying to solve the issue. After breaking that redstone clock, the game would crash everytime I would move east from the broken area. I also thought that the structure block had something to do with the bug, but it didn't. The game would save if I leave the world before everything froze. At this point, I believe there could be a corrupted block, entity, or chunk that's causing this. since it only affects that one area, it could be a corrupted chunk or something corrupted in the files. The game crashing whenever I move east might be the result of a corrupted chunk. I went back into the world and left that area before it froze, and other GUIs worked. I placed an anvil in the broken area, and clicked on it, then i moved away and the GUI popped up for a brief moment. I moved east again, and the game didn't crash this time. This bug has happened in other worlds before, but with those worlds, the game would save, but the entire world would be affected, but I deleted that world because of that. This is one of those bugs that makes it impossible to play the game until it's fixed.

From reading the log, I believe the issue has something to do with low tick speed.

galaxy_2alex

What is the gamerule "randomTickspeed" set to?

migrated

The tick speed is set to 3.

I tried to drop the world file into the attachments part of the report, but it ended up uploading every single file from the world, and I ended up getting rid of around 300+ files until I gave up. it keeps asking me "are you sure you want to delete this file?" for every single file which makes deleting the files go by so much slower. Can you tell me step by step on how to get my world onto here?

galaxy_2alex

I've removed them using a bot.

If the file size of the whole is too large, please upload it somewhere else and then link to it here.

I also tried optimizing the world but that didn't get rid of the bug.

A few days ago, I went through a nether portal to the overworld and a few seconds later, the game crashed. A month ago,Β  I noticed that when I go to that affected area with the low tick speed, the game crashes. I believe that the nether portal I came out of is near that affected area which explains why the game crashed when I came out of that portal. Since that the game auto-saved right after I came out of the nether portal, the world is stuck in this loop where if I load the world, the game would crash a few seconds after loading the world because it left off in the overworld, making the world unplayable. I tried optimizing the world again but it still kept crashing. I'll put the output log in another comment.

Process crashed with exit code -805306369

migrated

I also looked up what the crash code -805306369 means (the crash code that I keep getting). Apparently it means the client is running out of memory. The JVM not being allocated enough memory which could be why the game is crashing, but I don't understand how a certain area in my world is causing the client to not have enough memory.

The world cannot be downloaded with this link. Please provide a download link that's publicly accessible. Also please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.

Like I said in one of my comments, The world crashes a few seconds after loading the world, so I can’t wait 10 seconds if the game crashes after 2 seconds. For some reason, the game isn’t making crash reports for the crashes when I load that world, so I can’t give you the crash report to those crashes.

migrated

Update: I was able to make my world usable by using NBTExplorer to change my player's position to the world spawn, so now the game won't crash when I open my world because my player is out of the "danger zone" (the area in the world that causes the game to crash).

anthony cicinelli

Can you check if this still occurs in 1.17.1?
