Sound doesn't work around Zombie Pigman farm

I host a minecraft server on my computer. The design is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qfOsR1mmrA Whenever I am around there some sounds don't work.... I can't hear the trapdoor after the second click, if I drop into the fire I hear the damaging sound once every three seconds, if I launch with my elytra I don't hear the rocket. It also impacts the menu's sounds. It's weird. Same happens with my friend and my brother there, so I'm not the issue.
