It's been very annoying, ever since i got the new minecraft launcher for the "horse update" multyplayer hasn't been working so i've been trying to join a number of servers and it wouldn't work like it would say "outdated server" every time

Are you retarded? The outdated server means that the SERVER HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED! Minecraft 1.6 just came out and OBVIOUSLY isn't compatible with 1.5.2 servers, so you have to wait until their owners update them.
