[MC-202439] Netherite Bug

So I finally got netherite 🙂 and I put mending on my Netherite axe and it never healed, its almost broken now. I've killed endless mobs with nothing mending on me JUST my netherite axe and it never healed. I JUST GOT a netherite pickaxe with mending and i went to the nether to heal it up from some quartz and NOTHING. NO healing to my pick axe at all. With this being said im getting scared to grind out a couple hours of netherite farming and put it on my armor for mending to not work. My netherite Sword on the otherhand Heals no problem.

Mending affects one item at random and only items in your main hand, off hand, or armor slots. So what might have happened is that you were not holding the item when you collected xp. And if you were, it might have gone to your armor or shield instead.

Yeah i know that. I've gone to the nether or in my mine to find coal, redstone, diamond, quartz, trade villagers, etc... and no increase just decrease with NOTHING but my netherite pickaxe in my hand.

But the Main issue is my Netherite axe(mending) and my Netherite pickaxe(mending) do not heal

Hi, can you attach a screen capture with the F3 debug screen activated? It might help if you have your mouse pointer over the item that has mending so the information bubble for the item is visible.
