Started my new survival world for 1.6.1, attempted to destroy a tree. Every time I tried to destroy a block, it would instantly reappear. Before you think it was lag, I was playing at over 40FPS and mobs were still active.

I have same issue. FPS is averaging 55 but I am getting block lag. It is as if I were playing on a remote server. Lag happens all the time, not just at night during zombie sieges.
