For about three days now I've been trying to solve a problem where before I even reach the "Mojang" screen the game will crash. The error displays "failed to write core dump". I'm fairly new with anything to do with computers or computer gaming but I've tried just about everything to fix this issue.
I've tried updating java, uninstalling java, uninstalling Minecraft (multiple times), updating my drivers, updating windows itself, and I even wiped my laptop's hard drive yet to no avail. Nothing seems to be working and it feels like it is becoming more likely that I am just unable to play Minecraft no matter what fix I try. I have considered that it is my laptop that might be the issue, however that would be strange as it manages to run games like CSGO, rust, and Ghostrunner without crashing.
Please help, as I am extremely lost in this situation. 😞
