Don't know if this is a feature or not. but if you are 48 blocks high in minecraft and sit in a boat and roe over the edge you don't die.
if you make it 50 blocks high you don't die.
but if it is exactly 49 blocks high from the ground you instant die.
might be a bug or something don't know.
