FPS Drops from explosions and fire.

Hello, I have been experiencing fps stuttering when punching out fire and explosions in the nether. The effects also then make my frames drop when breaking blocks very fast. From what I know this only has been happening in the nether and at times can make the game unplayable. I have also seen this issue in some of older 1.16 versions as well.

Here is a crash report of the latest session

Hmm. What are your video settings set to? (e.g. what render distance do you use?)

Also, please record a video of this happening and attach it to this report.
If you are on Windows, you can use Windows+Alt+R to open a built-in App for recording game footage.
In case you don't have a program to record videos, we recommend using the free recording software OBS.
In case the resulting video file is too large to be uploaded to the bug tracker directly, please upload it elsewhere (e.g. as unlisted video on YouTube) and link to it here.

I have my render distance at 10, I tried turning vsync on and it appears to lessen the effects of this issue. I have smooth lighting off as well as biome blend completely off. I have my graphics set to fast. Here is a video of the issue https://youtu.be/PR3pnY-3kLs

Just use optifine.

@unknown please don't recommend mods like OptiFine here they are not supported by Mojang

It happened to me too. For me to fix it, just turn down render distance, and try turning off fancy graphics, like fancy clouds.

Tried what you said, issue still persists. 😞

I am unable to reproduce in 21w38a

I'm also unable to reproduce this in both 1.17.1 and 21w38a.
