no ender pearls

so in Minecraft 1.8.9 I try and throw an ender pearl in creative and it doesn't work but in 1.16 I can do this I saw this was a bug in 1.4.2 from the bug report page.

None of those versions are supported any more. Do you have the issue in the current version (1.16.4) or the latest snapshot?

See MC-438. This was fixed in 15w31a, which was a snapshot for 1.9.
