Boat Disappears

I am unable to reproduce this issue in 20w49a.

The boat is supposed to be bound to you and will dissapear from the world once you exit it, but it should return when you get back into the world. Is this the case?

I have the same problem in version 1.17.41. Boats seem to despawn most often when near coastline. Also often when I jump out of a boat near coast line the boat disappears.
