What I expected to happen was...
To see my 'icon' on the map
What actually happened was:
There's no icon of you character on the map
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a new map
2. Open the new map
3. The map doesn't show your character

Do you use any resource packs? Are you at the very edge of the map? What happens when you move around?

Can you provide with more information on the issue you are experiencing here. Do you happen to be talking about empty maps? Having an empty map doesn't show your marker? Additionally, attaching screenshots and/or videos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
