[MC-206589] Throwing a trident at a stalactite from a great distance below doesn't make it fall

The bug

If you throw a trident at a very tall stalactite from a great distance below, it wont make it fall. I've managed to hit it a couple of times with a trident from a long way below it and it didn't fall.

With further testing I found out that if you are 40 blocks away from a stalagtite (horizontally) and throw a trident at it, it doesn't break and the trident stays on the stalagtite.
