[MC-206659] Swapping from an Unenchanted Item to an Enchanted Item, applies the enchants to the unenchanted item.

In this clip I swapped to a sword enchanted with Fire Aspect II after hitting a pig with an Unenchanted Wooden Axe. Fire Aspect is not supposed to be on an axe but I was able to have it apply to an axe by doing this.

This also works with any item, so using this method, any item can have sword enchantments apply to it.

This actually surprisingly works as intended mostly. This is a tactic some players use where they use a bow and quickly switch to an item with looting.
