MY laptop is a hp laptop with a beefy 940mx graphic processor. even though capable of running at 150+fps it runs in 21 as it is using the integrated graphics from intel UHD 620. I want a way to switch it to dedicated graphics so that i can run my game at descent fps rather than 21 and 15 fps average. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

This is much more likely a misconfiguration on your side. Your device might be using the integrated graphics by default. Since your card is from NVIDIA, this issue should be easy assuming you have NVIDIA's control panel intact:
Open you NVIDIA control panel.
On the left pane, there should be an option that says Manage 3D settings, select it
On the right area of the window, you should see a tab that says Global Settings
, select it, you should now see a dropdown menu that says +P+referred Graphics Processor.
