The bug
When walking on redstone ore, it lights up, which is normal. The exact moment it went out, I happened to start mining it with an iron pickaxe and it didn't light up.
How to reproduce
/gamerule randomTickSpeed 1000Start mining redstone ore
It lights up, then turns back off
It doesn't turn back on as you continue to mine it, unless you start over
