So something is wrong with the pistons and how I know this is that I tried to build a bubble elevator. now I'm no the best at Redstone but I know this shouldn't be happening. watch the video and youll see what i mean. (sorry for the bandicam watermark)

works as intended, your redstone is off, the piston is being powered by the redstone torch AND the redstone dust that is powering that torch. redstone torches have a 1-tick delay which is causing the quick retraction-extension.
