While riding a Minecart over soulsand/soul soil while wearing boots enchanted with soulspeed, boots take damage. I wouldn’t consider this a bug of we got the speed increase, but the cart goes close enough to the exact same speed that my time differences over two tests was .25 second. Seems like riding a cart instead of using elytra, or a boat on ice, or simply running on the soulsand, is punishment enough. There’s no reason to further dissuade people from using minecarts to travel. It’s already a purely aesthetic or just novel choice, rather than a way to get somewhere in decent time.
