I've been attempting to startup Minecraft for the past week, but haven't been able to get it to work. The launcher functions how it normally would (new and beta), all the versions in the "installations" tab are still present, but whenever I start the game and think the playing options menu is about to show up, the loading screen suddenly stops and crashes, showing "Java(TM) SE Binary is not responding", and doesn't respond or start the actual game for hours on end. I've closed the game and restarted my computer multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft and the suggested Java version, but this hasn't worked either. I did check "%appdata%" and ".minecraft" and noticed some files and folders were missing; although, I'm not certain which specific ones. I do remember there was an "entity" folder, which I originally thought was in "assets", that is also missing. And the only versions that come up in the "versions" folder are 1.16.4, the latest snapshot, and other versions I tried to startup. If there's an easy way to fix this, please let me know.
