can not interact with block or object

I can load into the game and move around. However I can noy open chests,doors, gates etc. I can not interact with crops or animals either. Placing torches depletes the inventory but does not place them on the block. have tried uninstalling and reinstalling overwolf,curseforge,and the ftb app. along with the mod pack on multiple occasions
