Related to opening and closing shulker boxes not being detected by observers (MC-107664), other block update detectors have not been fixes. MC-107664 fixed the issue only for observers in 1.14.2.
Included is a video demonstrating opening and closing a shulker not causing a block update to both a budded piston, and a burnout clock. And then how it breaks a burnout by just opening the shulker box. The dust then needs block updated for it to start again.

MC-107664 is for observers detecting events. This does not involve observers, so it should not fall under the same issue.
