[MC-2151] When I opened the game, I was in a place where I wasn't when I closed it

I saved and closed the game when inside my house in the mountains. The house is inside the rocks... When I opened the game, I wasn't inside my house, but on top of the mountain...

This issue was really common with MCPE; I think it's recently been fixed there, maybe the fix can make its way back upstream...

Confirm, though rare. Was inside my house when closed, was on the ceiling (over the house) when opened lol

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Tails, I don't know. This is a rare problem, is possible that this can still occur, but didn't occured yet.

This has occurred to me in 1.4.7. I will log out in my house, and sometimes appear on my roof like Caio.
