When facing south and placing a copper block in gravel extreme hills, and copper is placed with crosshair on southmost side of gravel, the copper turns immediately to oxidized copper. This happened when random tick speed was at 99999 but, this still would take one to two minutes for the copper to normally fully oxidize.
