Lodestone compass doesn't work properly

After right clicking a compass on a lodestone block, the name doesn't change, nor does the compass point towards the lodestone block. The advancement is given however.

edit: it does seem to work in survival, but not in creative mode.
it doesn't work in adventure mode either, but this may be intended.

further edit: after going into survival and back to creative, the compass worked as intended again.

final edit: further testing; including a new world, could not make the issue appear again. I would mark this as resolved until another user reports the same issue.
