Minecraft doesn't start in Ubuntu 12.10

Every time I attempt to start Minecraft, it just crashes before getting to the title screen. I've tried two versions of the proprietary driver for my graphics card, as well as the open source variant.
I've attached the crash report, so anyone who knows how to fix this can help.
