Placing a wood fence in creative then moving forward right after placing it causes you to glitch into the fence block

To walk onto the fence block

I glitched into the fence

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Begin placing wooden fences in creative. (On spruce wood planks if it matters)
2. walk along the fences and place a fence on the end
3. walk forward along the fence right after you place it
