Cave ceilings and floors sometimes too flat or blocky

The cave floors or ceilings sometimes generate a huge flat surface area which seems unnatural, even the plains are less flat than this. The transition from floor or ceilings to the wall are jarring. We can see the floor generation is contrary to the ceiling or vice versa (sometimes both). They seems to generate quite more often with aquifers. There are no stronghold structure nearby.

I'm afraid this report would be mistaken as an opinion but I don't think this is intentional. Overall, I'm loving this new update and keep up the great work! 🙂

Edit: It seems the flat floors starts to appear on 21w10a but flat ceilings can be found since 21w06a

Here's another example of where you can see this.

Can confirm, I reported this bug in MC-218734 with the seed -1695745861.

Can confirm as well, it seems this may be a bug with aquafer generation. I believe these flat floors are supposed to be filled with water. These problems seem to also happen mainly below y=8.

Really liked the fix on 21w11a so far. My guess that some of it has to do with aquifers for the floor was right. Although some of the ceilings can still be found flat but it's less common and doesn't bother too much.
