Minecraft now doesn't work on a lot of computers because of the OpenGL driver. I went to Intel's website and they said there are no supported drivers for my system. I know many other computers have this problem as well, and that means that unless Mojang uses something else, many people will not be able to play Minecraft anymore. They should try finding a different way, because we aren't going to buy a new computer just for it to fit the game. The new update is basically "Minecraft but now it doesn't work on not new computers". If they don't change that I will simply not be able to play, and so will many more people.

Just like the changelog says, there is a chance Minecraft Java will no longer run on computers that do not meet the minimum system requirements.
so that's what I'm saying, many many computers won't be able to run Minecraft anymore. This update doesn't make any sense.
Your PC is already not supported before the update because your GPU is below the minimum system requirements.
What is your PC specs?
