Spyglass and powder snow bug

When you step into the water, you freeze. Snow textures appear in the corners of your screen. When you use the spyglass, when you have these snow textures, you get a strange gradient of green to red. As you remove these textures, as you step out of the snow, the gradient fades and disappears.
