I died by going through the nether portal

The video I have won’t upload due to the fact it’s too long, all I did was walk through the portal and as the loading screen is saying building new terrain I can hear in the background my character dying, It loads me back to my spawn point aka my bed and I have nothing with me!😞 Please help
