This problem is reported as resolved on MC-126244. However, I am still getting this problem in the latest stable release, 1.16.5. When a cartographer levels up to Journeyman, the game freezes for at least 10 seconds, and players on the server lose their connection, with the error message "Timed Out". This has happened consistently.

Yes, I think so. I think it and MC-126244 are pretty similar.
@Asteraoth I understand that this duplicates MC-130449 (and probably MC-126244 as well). However, on both those reports, the status is "Resolved" with the resolution being "Fixed". But this issue is NOT fixed, as it still happens in the latest stable release (1.16.5). Is there any way the issue report for either MC-126244 or MC-126244 can be changed so that it's "Open" instead of "Resolved"?
MC-130449 is fixed in a 1.17 snapshot, so it still happens in 1.16.5
