Discovered this when I was building the layers of my slimefarm. Apperently spiders can attack the player when he is standing on slabs and the spider is under.
To recreate you have to make eye contact with the spider and then it can attack you through the slabs

as in there is no gap but the spider is attacking you through where two slabs join diagonally?
